Last but most certainly not least, the spring and summer of 2010 comes with the advent of playsuits and jumpsuits — and rompers.

Now, for those of us who lived through the dreadful overall stage of the early 1990s, the very thought of a one piece trend might make us grit our teeth.

But this style really has the potential to be cute. Unfortunately, thanks to Ralph Lauren and others, overalls are making a comeback as well. I can’t really say anything positive about that.

I can tell you to take a look at the S/S 2010 runways for designers like Alber Elbaz, designing for Lanvin, and Karl Lagerfeld — there are some jumpsuit designs that won’t set your teeth on edge.
