Dresses are getting a rather risque makeover in the Spring and Summer of 2010, at least in some instances.

Specifically, those scintillating dresses with slits up the side — you know those?

Well, as you can plainly see here, that slit is starting to get higher. However, when you want to pull off this daring trends, there are a few things you have to do to help you be successfully stylish.

For one thing, you absolutely cannot scrimp on the heels. Your shoes have to be heels; flats simply will not do. It is best to keep your legs bare (and tanned, if you can), but if you’re going to go with a pair of stockings, make sure they are interesting — such as fishnets, if they do the dress justice!

Keep the fabrics light and airy and try to draw inspiration from the Grecian style of draping.
