The Fashion Show: What Do You Think?

by Heather on May 10th, 2009

The Fashion Show

Okay folks, since Project Runway is off of the air for Bravo, they decided to come up with a rip off – The Fashion Show.  Now, I have to admit that I totally watched it.  I wanted to see all of the gay guys because my gal said there were tons of ‘em and well ladies – what do you think about the show?  Personally, I think that it wasn’t all that bad, but it was certainly not Project Runway at all!

I love Heidi, Tim and of course Nina and Michael and no one can replace them.  However, this show did have some interesting designers and I think that they of a little bit higher quality, I mean some of them are home taught, but a few of them actually have their own business.

So – I’m asking for opinions here!  What do you think about the show as a whole?  Are you going to keep watching it?  I probably will, but I want to know your opinions!

  1. I have to say, I’m so glad I came across this site. I was looking for someone to tell my opinion to on this one.

I agree. The show wasn’t that bad. But seriously, why did they get Kelly Rowland to host with Isaac? I mean, she has absolutely no credibility in this industry. And although I didn’t watch the show tonight, her comments last week were really sorry. She would just agree with everyone. I’m a self-taught designer, myself. But if she was standing there making comments on my stuff I would be like, “what the hell?” She’s super cute and I loved her Destiny’s Child, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see her return next season (if there is a next season).

Also, I don’t think the show’s contestants are a higher quality than Project Runways. I think they are probably equal. PR has tons of people on their show that already have businesses. But I definitely agree that these contestants are interesting. So I will most likely keep watching. But this is definitely no Project Runway!
