This post and the next one will probably seem quite similar, partly because they are quite similar, but I assure you that they are quite different as well.

This post, you see, focuses on the big color trend of the coming winter months: purple. Throughout December, January, and February (plus November and March in most parts of the country), you are going to be seeing all kinds of shades of purple in all kinds of places.

Purple was a wildly popular color back in the 1960s, so much so that The Powers That Be in fashion seem to have decided they saw too much of it then to bring it back too soon.

I, for one, have always found it a shame, because purple is my favorite color. So you can understand why I am so excited to know that it is finally back! For more than three decades, it has lain dormant, and now it’s finally making a long awaited comeback!
