Star Cow Boots: Fabulous or Epic Failure?

So, as I have said before, I am a very big fan of shoes. Believe it or not, boots seem to be one of the prevailing trends for late summer as well as the coming fall. That is all well and good — there are some really adorable pairs of boots out there.

But, I have to wonder — and ask all of you, because I need some opinions: are these one of them? Are these boots avant garde and edgier than thou, or do they kind of just make you want to have a cow?

Old Gringo is responsible for the Star Cow Boots. The luxe leather is probably luxurious, it is just the out of this world cow print that I am having problems with. Specifically, my real issue is the fact that these bright pink trainwrecks cost an unbelievable $1,350. Really, why not buy a pair of cowboy boots, a few packs of Magic Markers, and walk yourself into the nearest kindergarten class?
