Ruffles, Ruffles, Everywhere!

You have to remember that, when it comes to trends, the trend is quite often a thing or a style, rather than a designer. For instance, you cannot believe how popular ruffles are this summer.

Now, do not worry; if you are thinking back to the poet’s shirts popular (at least among certain groups) in the early 90s, wipe those visions out of your mind. You do not have to walk around looking like you are trying out for a Shakespearean play.

A little ruffle will go along way — especially when it is used to create, say, a feminine dress or skirt. This summer, though, ruffles should be relegated to the hem of your clothing, or the neckline. Ruffles draw attention, so try showing off your legs or your upper torso, rather than anything else.
