Penelope and Monica Cruz for MNG²

They’re both so gorgeous! 33-year old Penelope is older than Monica by 3 years, but the beautiful siblings could totally be identical twins. The sisters were tapped to design a limited edition Summer 2008 collection for trendy retail giant Mango. This is their 2nd design collaboration with Mango, following the huge success of their 1st 25pc clothing and accessories collection (Penelope and Monica Cruz for MNG) last year.
Their new 38-piece collection for Mango has two distinct styles. A range of feminine airy dresses with billowy sleeves and floral prints reminiscent of spring (I love these dresses, they’re so prety!); and casual androgynous silhouettes that bring back the masculine mod trend (made popular by style icons like Bette Davis, Liza Minneli and Audrey Hepburn.) Penelope and Monica also lend their beautiful faces to the new Mango ad campaign.
The Cruz sisters, who have also designed a range of jewelry and handbags for the Japanese retail chain Samantha Thavasa, are only some of the latest in a long (and growing) line of celebrity designers. In 2006, Mango tapped actress Milla Jovovich to do a similar collaboration for their brand.
I like the Cruz sisters and their style and I am also big fan of mango but I was not crazy of their first collection. seems like the second one is better. I’ll check it out!
