Nicole Miller’s 2008-2009 Holiday Resort Collection
Posted: 10/9/08The new Holiday 2008 Resort 2009 Collection from Nicole Miller is now online and the dresses from this group are gorgeous for a vacation in the tropics. Item CC0108, a delicate orange and cream colored mini dress with bustier styling top, made in sumptuous Lurex Silk Georgette, is fancy but at the same time looks terrific with flat sandals. The wider skirt is generous enough for most body shapes and the short length, coupled with the spaghetti straps will keep a girl cool in the intense heat.
For women that prefer a little more covered up on top, dress number BQ0195 in large turquoise, gold and white flower print, has a wonderfully beaded neckline. Designed to flatter most body types, this lovely loose fitting, above the knee dress is made of Stretch Silk Georgette. Again perfect for a light lunch on the beach or sight seeing throughout the day.
My favorite daytime dress is the Pineapple Paradise (BP0369). A beautiful silk, short length dress in black with big colorful pineapples throughout the print finished off with plain black straps and detailed pleating. Cool, carefree and comfortable are qualities that best suit vacation clothing and this dress plays the part well.
If shorts are more appropriate, the stretch silk georgette halter top with wood beads (BA0484) looks great over the chocolate brown Washed Silk Dupioni, cutoff shorts. And for eveningwear, there are several long gowns that are both casual but pretty enough for fine dining. Take a stroll in the moonlight wearing any one of the long flowing dresses and you are sure to feel beautiful.
