Lindsay Lohan: Fashion Icon or Fashion Failure?

So … Lindsay Lohan. You have heard of her, right? True enough, you may know her better as “that hot mess,” but still — same person, same antics, same fashion … sense.

This is Lindsay Lohan on the cover of Elle UK, the August 2009 issue. Recently, Lindsay has been quoted as saying that people in the UK seem to like her, so maybe she would do better over there — by “better,” presumably she means she would be able to do something other than made for TV movies with done to death plot lines.

And, you know, maybe she is right. It could be all the airbrushing and such, but she looks decent on the cover — one could even go so far as to say she looks lovely. Plus it has to be said that those boots are certifiably hot.

Will Lindsay single handedly be bringing knee highs back into fashion? …Probably not, but at least she doesn’t look like such a trainwreck.
