Gwen Stefani’s Harajuku Lovers Fragrance
Posted: 6/10/08I’ve always loved Gwen Stefani’s eclectic sense of style. Stefani has made no secret of her fascination with Japanese popculture. In fact it’s Tokyo’s Harajuku district streetfashions that inspire not just her music, but also her wildly popular “Harajuku Lovers” line of casualwear, handbags and accessories. I particularly adore the fun, funky and colorful handbags.

So I was really excited to hear about new Harajuku Lovers fragrances! The new fragrance collection is a collaboration between Gwen and Coty fragrances (whom she partnered up with for the release of her first fragrance, Lamb L.) Each of the 5 fragrances in the collection have been named after Gwen and her four real-life backup singers, the Harajuku Girls. Love (a sensuous floral by Yves Cassar and Pascal Gaurin of International Flavors & Fragrances), Lil’ Angel (a fruity floral by Christophe Raynaud of Givaudan), Music (delicate floral by Honorine Blanc of Firmenich), Baby (a powdery musk by Harry Fremont, also of Firmenich), and G (representing Gwen herself, is a modern gourmand by Steve DeMarcado of Fragrance Resources.)
The fragrances are packaged in specially-designed bottles shaped like dolls based on their namesakes. How cute is that?
Not only does Gwen have style, but fashion as well! She enjoys wearing pantyhose despite the current trend for bare legs. This is definitely a plus, since pantyhose prevent DVT’s in your legs while pregnant!
