Fiorentini + Baker Thongs: Beatific or Too Boyish?

Let me go on record as saying that I love flip flops — or thongs, as they are more correctly known these days … although calling them that always makes me feel a little bit dirty. And like I have got a wedge.

Anyway! These are the Fiorentini + Baker Tike X-Thongs, and I am torn about them. They look a little like the trendy sandals I always paid too much money for at some random beach shop when I was in high school. Then again, there is something nice about their very simplicity. Still, I am pretty torn about whether or not I like them.

Maybe it is just this particular pair — though I know they come in some kind of olive, rusty color as well — but they are just a little too … drab. I come from the Sex in the City school of shoes — darling, they just have to be fabulous or they do not belong on your feet at all.
