Croc Tears

purple ugly Crocs.jpgI want to cry (real tears too, not crocodile tears) every time I see a woman traipsing around in public in a pair of Crocs. These shoes always remind me of something that should be seen on Barney…and make no mistake I am talking about the purple dinosaur, not one of my favorite places to shop, Barneys New York.

I suppose that Crocs are ok to wear to the beach and I can see the appeal of wearing these waterproof shoes when you water your garden. I will even admit to owning a pair that I wear whenever I wash my car, but that is where the relationship with Crocs should end. I know that they are comfortable. I know that they mold to your feet. I know that they have little air holes that keep your feet from sweating and getting stinky. Those are all great qualities….for a pair of house shoes, but please don’t pair these with a summer pair of capri pants unless you are on your way to the beach and planning to head straight home when you are done playing in the sand.

Crocs_Flip_Flop.jpgThe company that makes Crocs does make shoes that aren’t quite so…how should I say… embarrassing for anyone over the age of seven to wear in public. Take these cute little capri flip flops. They are comfortable, light and stylish. At just under $40 they are even affordable.

You can browse through all of the shoes offered by Crocs at their website. Just promise me if you buy the traditional Crocs, you won’t wear them to the grocery store!

Boy, I know the crocs aren’t much to look at…but when it comes to comfort they are IT!!!
My poor flat feet are in heaven in crocs, I have tried to wear sandles, flip flops and such…if I don’t have the side support for my dogs they will swell up like huge toads.
So I am sorry you don’t like the way the crocs look, my comfort takes precedence over your feelings for the way they look.
    Signed,
“My dogs are no longer barking”
