L.A.M.B. Glazed Love Asti Handbag

For those of us who have gotten used to the funky prints and fun details that L.A.M.B. bags usually boast, the Glazed Love Asti might come as a surprise. But a very pleasant surprise. Sparse detail (like a single gold metal “L” in the brand’s Old English font logo,) supple leather and a slouchy shape gives this handbag a classic and elegant appeal.

Departing from the season’s floral prints and loud hues, the Love Asti stands out in plain but gorgeous black or green glazed leather. Details are minimal, but flawlessly executed. Like the inset chain on the bag’s double handles, the elegant braided leather tassel and padlock detail, tab-closure, the cute interior lining (striped fabric with gold signature “L” print.) Clearly the brand is determined to expand their fanbase to include fashionistas who prefer a more refined and style.

While I do adore “traditional” L.A.M.B designs, Glazed Love Asti is LOVE. Priced at $725 this handbag is a timeless must-have.

Every now and then, an up-and-coming designer will rock the fashion world. Such is the case of handbag designer Rebecca Minkoff. Minkoff is fast becoming the must-have designer of choice with her supple, beautifully-crafted and functional handbags, the same handbags that have been earning her a large fanbase of fashionistas including celebrities like Lindsay Lohan, Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavalleri and Hayden Panatierre (to name a few.)

The 26-year old began by designing clothing and accessories, before finding her niche in handbag-design. Her handbags are created with luxe Italian leather and the best materials, and handmade in the United States. Her line of fab handbags was picked up recently by Neiman Marcus, and since then the young designer has been taking the world of American fashion by storm.

This is a pure summer handbag and as I’m totally in the summer mood already this IS perfect timing contrary to some beliefs. ;)

It’s a woven straw tote bag with lovely leather details from Juicy Couture, as you’ve noticed one of my favorite labels.

I believe in the magic of unique pursage. I shun the restrictions imposed on us by major labels with their giant buckles, swaths of butter leather and generic monstrosities and I bring to you instead “ this wooden purse.

This super cute clutch features Swedish front panels that come in zebra, birch or ebony veneers and the sides are made from an ultra-soft goat leather available in ivory, black and green. It’s made by a male design duo named Tivi. They’re based out of Denver, but ship worldwide. Of course, this smart purse is a deal at $280 (someone has to pay for that goatskin) and because of the high demand and lengthy construction process, it can take up to six weeks to get your order.
