Christian Dior Jazzclub Collection

Dior finally released its Jazzclub collection of handbags, and the armcandy proved to be just as hot as the eyecandy. Fashionistas, who have been teased for weeks with Dior’s series of ads promoting their Spring 2008 offering, were not disappointed. This newest Dior collection is a clear cut above the rest, with its bold animal prints, edgy designs and sharp detail.

Highlights of the collection are the Runway Dior Jazzclub Flapped Bags, instantly recognizable by its unique slouchy hobo-like shape, and oversized toggle closure. The popular favorite is the Zebra Flapped Bag (pictured below.) This scrumptious piece is dressed in the current zebra print (in a pony-finished leather,) and manages to be trendy, yet maintain a timeless appeal, with its polished logo-engraved silver hardware and silver chain straps.

Two Beautiful Karta Dresses for Summer 2008

As you obviously know I’m still looking for the perfect summer dress — and these extraordinary Karta dresses I found over at eLuxury have just gained nominations! The top one is a fully polyester Aqua Shift Dress with pretty, small sleeves. It’s only $242 so it’s not going to hurt me financially, which is obviously a huge plus. :D

Number two is my favorite and it’s only slightly more expensive at $326. It’s also polyester, but looks very classy without the sleeves. Absolutely loving this one!

SUMMER’S A COMIN’!

Alright, while looking for the perfect summer dress every once a while a girl wanders over to the dark side of online shopping, ending up in THE EVIL SHOE DEPARTMENT. It gets messy when I visit the EVIL SHOE DEPARTMENT every once in a while — so I always feel a little guilty when clicking the “shoes” link.

Anyway, I ended up looking at shoes. I deal with my problems the easy way: I give in.

Stumbled upon… Hollywould’s Summer 2008 shoes — and one gorgeous pair of green sandals in particular. Textural leather with metallic trim, wraparound ankle bands with golden logo-engraved buckle, smooth grained leather lining and padded insole, 3.5″ leather-covered stiletto heel… BEAUTIFUL. They’re about $500 at eLuxury. Not TOO bad now, innit?

Arm Warmers you say?

To some, the idea of fingerless gloves/arm warmers might seem ridiculous. As in, what’s the point? Well, for starters, they’re super cute. They also make it very easy to operate a mobile phone, coffee cup, purse, or steering wheel. I may be stretching it a bit here, but seriously, they’re really cute. I’m thinking, for those of us who live in colder climates, fingerless gloves under stringed mittens (yes, stringed mittens) is the way to go.

And, just one more thing…instead of calling fingerless gloves arm warmers, why not just call them fingerless mittens? I guess it doesn’t matter. Also, you don’t have to buy a $60 pair, you can just cut the tips off a pair of thrift store mittens.

Versace Ready To Wear 2007

Just found some excellent Versace Ready To Wear pieces at eLuxury, and I’m LOVING them. Get your VISA-card out of your wallet and make sure you’ve got the budget, though, because we’re talking $800 pants and $1100 to $1900 dresses when we’re talking Versace. That’s part of the deal though, isn’t it? ;)

First up this Versace Cropped Pant – $730

And last but not least my $1,895 favorite: a colorful Printed Halter Dress

This is all way over my budget, but it’s still VERY VERY beautiful…. Enjoy if you do have the cash to splash!

Missoni Sleeve Dress: Fabulous (yet expensive)

Sometimes a girl just likes to browse the net looking for extremely pretty things she knows she can’t afford. I tend to do that almost every day (luckily I can justify this saying it’s a professional aid — as if!), and I really should spend more time letting you know about these things, making sure you feel just as miserable as I do (hehehe just kidding girls ;) ).

Anyway, this extremely pretty Missoni Anemone Three-Quarter Sleeve Dress Sleeve Dress is a perfect example: $1765 of pure V-necked class and sexines (that’s about $1500 over budget, awwww) by one of the most underrated designers available on the eLUXURY website. Pretty!

Why I don’t like sundays

Ever since my school-days have passed I have never really enjoyed sundays. Why? Because 2 simple facts who, when added up, make sunday a much bigger day from hell than monday:

My deadlines are always in the first few days of the week. Being a hectic girl I always end up working extremely hard in the last few days before those deadline, making sundays work-days.
All my favorite boutiques close on sundays. I live in the city so I enjoy strolling the streets when I’m not at work. But on sundays, when so many people have time (i’d make time!) to shop, the shops close. To me, that doesn’t make any sense.

Oh well, I guess we’ll evolve to more and more sunday shopping, like I see happening in The Netherlands as well. For now, I’ll just browse the new Dolce & Gabbana fall collection on the web ;-).
