Elie Saab Fall/Winter 2007

These are the designs that you can expect to see popping up at any moment, since we are in the beginning of the Holiday season. Elie Saab does a wonderful job with gowns and cocktail dresses, as you can see from the pictures. I absolutely adore the silver dress with the bulky sheer sleeves. It will be gorgeous for the holidays. The wedding dress is also very beautiful. Itâ€™s the last picture. I love the fine detailing. It makes me think of a wedding in the midst of a snow covered mountain. Beautiful design! Well, so much for the daydreaming, back to the rest of the designs. Diane Von Furstenberg Spring/Summer 2008

Diane Von Furstenberg is probably one of my all time favorite designers. This collection is so beautiful and elegant. The pieces are all so colorful and languid. Itâ€™s a perfect spring/summer collection. From the light fabrics to the beautiful colors, sheâ€™s got it all covered. The flowers and headpieces that the models wore just added to the beauty of the designs. The designs themselves are very simplistic, not at all overdone, and with all the grays and sack-type dresses that have come down the catwalk this season, this collection is quite a breath of fresh air.

Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2008 Paris

Let me first say that normally I am first in line for Louis Vuitton. I love their stuff, but this collection I do not love. I really donâ€™t even like it much. The designs just seem to be a little sloppy, and sort of remind me of Cinderella in drag. Honestly, for someone who makes the most fabulous bags, these clothes are just awful. The colors are great, but there is just something about the entire collection that rubbed me the wrong way. Now the bags, well thatâ€™s another post altogether. Iâ€™ll bring you pictures of the new bags, they are stunning. I just think that Iâ€™ll carry them while wearing another line of clothes.

Anna Sui Spring/Summer 2008

I love this one! The colorful striped hair that the models wore just makes the collection seem that much more interesting. The make-up on the models was great too. I think Anna Sui has done a wonderful job, not only looks of the models and with the cuts and the fabrics, but the colors are outstanding. The models all looked like they were having such a great time showing off these designs. The pieces are sexy and beautiful. I especially liked the bright, bold colors that were used. Itâ€™s a great collection for the warm months ahead.

Jill Sander Spring/Summer 2008

I just have to say that Jill Sander is THE designer for me. I love these pieces. The sheers are simply gorgeous, and all the pieces are so feminine and sexy. The colors are great, too. I love the bold blues and oranges. This is by far one of my most favorite collections so for the Spring/Summer season. All the pieces in this collection are so wearable. I couldnâ€™t find anything that I didnâ€™t like. Check out the pictures and see if you donâ€™t agree that these are some of the most beautiful and feminine pieces that weâ€™ve seen.

Moon Young Hee Spring/Summer 2008 Paris

This is an absolutely beautiful collection. I love the femininity of these pieces. The layers of sheer are exquisite. I only wish that the pictures showed the flow of the materials in more detail. I do think that the models maybe werenâ€™t the best choices. Only because the designs didnâ€™t seem to fit them as well as they should. The designs themselves are outstanding. I love the sheer jumpsuit in the first picture. Itâ€™s really beautiful. I think Moon Young Hee has done an outstanding job this season with beautiful, romantic, and sexy pieces.

Commuun Spring/Summer 2008

The Commuun collection for the season is wonderful. It is minimalism at its very best. What a wonderful use of sheer and light fabrics! The designs are darling, and so feminine. Even without the use of â€œspringâ€ colors, I still love this line. The whites and blacks are very well used for warmer weather designs, and the sheer fabric is beautifully cut and flows very well. Even the trousers look light as air and wispy. This is a wonderful spring/summer collection, as all the pieces are very wearable, and the light fabric is much nicer than some that I have seen used. Overall, itâ€™s a wonderful addition to the line-up for the season.

I canâ€™t say that I hate this collection, but it may really have to grow on me before I say that I love it. There were a few really great pieces. The dress in the first picture below is beautiful. I love the cut and the colors are amazing. There were some pieces, however, that didnâ€™t quite make it for me. The sheer trousers, for instance. Really, where would you wear these? Iâ€™m just not sure that Iâ€™m ready to go out with completely see-thru pants on. Anyway, for the most part, Prada did a beautiful job as always. Some things will always be hit or miss, and overall the collection is a hit. The colors are beautiful, that is if you donâ€™t mind the terribly black eye make-up on all the modelsJ

Christian Dior Spring/Summer 2008

This was a really beautiful collection. Now, I realize that Iâ€™m a little slow in getting you the pictures (the show was held last month), but they are definitely worth the wait. The whole theme seemed to be a 1920â€™s Bonnie and Clyde type feeling. I love the â€œflapperâ€ look in many of the pieces. Even the lingerie looked like it came from a 1920 Madameâ€™s boudoir. Love it! Iâ€™m not normally a really big fan of CD, but I really loved this collection. There were other pieces that didnâ€™t hold the â€œflapperâ€ look quite so much, but I think the ones that did are the best pieces of the whole collection. Even the animal print ones, and I have seen enough animal prints this season to make me a zoo keeperJ
