One style that is sure never to go out is going to be the forties glamour look.  IT seems that Giorgio Armani is actually looking to remind us all about how good it looks to dress rich with clean lines and a perfect fit.  Giorgio Armani showed us all when he showed this beautiful piece earlier today and actually had paying customers in the audience … how many designers have that?  While most people just think that Giorgio Armani does men’s clothing, it is pretty obvious that women’s clothing is among his talents as well.

This piece is actually something that I think is beautiful and extremely haute couture – which looks a lot better than Chanel’s version of haute couture.  A few other things that Giorgio Armani has dipped into are some fantastic cardigans with some crystal mesh embroidery and also a lot of trouser suites that were finished with some crystal buttons.

So check out this year Giorgio Armani – he is not just for the guys anymore!

One thing that I have noticed lately is the fact that there are so many different designers that are trying their hand at jewelry.  Take Gianfranco Ferre for example.  This is the guy that did nothing but shirts, dresses and pants along with some beautiful, beautiful shoes but now – well, now he is coming out with some of the best jewelry on the market today.

Take this ring for example; this is by far one of the most beautiful rings I have ever laid eyes on!  I love the fact that it looks so freakin’ raw yet it is so refined it truly is crazy!  No matter which way you spin it, this Gianfranco Ferre original is definitely one of the best looking pieces of jewelry in the world!

While it might cost an arm and a leg, this piece is certainly worth it to get – so what are you waiting for again?

Now really, in this day and age, people are constantly trying to find a way to make money.  Not only are people getting laid off more and more and more but with the way the economy is – people still need to make money in this world.  That is what Premier Designs allows you to do.  You can make all sorts of money with Premier Designs and while I know we did a blog about this earlier, it was not exactly clear what this little slice of heaven is exactly.

Well ladies (all the people who comment on the one post for Premier Designs!), here is another post for you!  Please, post any tips, tricks or anything really that you think will help a new person starting up in this business.  Personally, I can’t sell ANYTHING at all – and guess what … I’m in sales!

I do not think that I can promote anything myself but I think that this jewelry is something that sells itself … truly.  Premier Designs is a fantastic company and from what a read about it in all of the comments I get on this blog, it is a fantastic company to work for.  While there is usually only a huge start up fee – you make that up in no time at all!

So it is obvious that in this day and age – people are saving money.  Hell, I am taking back bottles (I live in MI, so its 10 cents a can … beat that!) just so I can scrimp and save my own money.  So really, when it comes to weddings or more importantly, wedding dresses, people are tightening up the purse strings and closing their wallets.  The average budget for a wedding dress has shrunk down between this year and last year thousands of dollars – and Vera Wang has jumped into action.

On April 8th, Vera Wang showed us a brand new side of her and I have to say – I do not think that it is a pretty side.  These dresses, which range anywhere from thirty-eight thousand to five thousand are filled with mixed and matched fabrics.  Fabrics like silk, asymmetrically draped tulle, mismatched bows and flowers and they are all in the shape of a ball gown.

Vera admits herself that they look like they were tossed into a washing machine – but claims they are very youthful and totally organic.  Honestly?  I think they look like crap, but hey … I don’t design wedding dresses for a living, I just get to bitch about them.  Cheer folks!

Folks, personally, I am a huge Versace fan – while I do not live in the beautiful NYC and have a Versace down the street from me, I definitely keep up with the times on the website and I am certainly a huge fan of their clothing.  Take this beautiful dress for instance.  To me – this dress reeks spring and I love that because right now … ladies it is spring time and it is certainly time for you to lighten up all of your clothing!

A great thing about this dress, besides the colors, is the fit.  I love how it is very high-waisted, as that if very in right now and I love the way that it looks from the front.  Now, I have not seen the back as of right now, but I am certainly sure that the back looks just as incredible as the front.

One thing about Versace is that you know that you are getting a quality product.  If you purchase this beautiful dress – you are going to have it forever, right ladies?  You are not going to throw it out, wear it anywhere it is not going to be appreciated and you are certainly not going to loan it out right?  Right.

Why would that be? Well — GENIOUS design-work, maybe?

As all of you have gotten to know over the course of the past two years I’m not a huge fan of overcolorful designs when they turn into bold pieces in stead of playful ones — and this Fause Haten collection is one that I’m not too sure of. Is it over the top? Is it just right? I’ll have to really give them a second look over the next few days I’m affraid to really make up my mind.

At this point, I’m liking the pretty black pieces a lot, and not liking the flashy pink ones. I selected my faves and my not-so-faves; I’m sure you can locate the winners and the losers in my book. ;)

This beautiful Fall/Winter 2008-2009 collection is yet another example of what Vanessa Bruno can do. Lots of black and powerful clothing, with white dresses that catch your eye and pretty much are the highlights of the collection. One word: BEAUTIFUL. Enjoy the pics!
