The Saatchi Gallery is a prominent British space aimed at selling young, contemporary artists (you may know Charles Saatchi as the man who introduced the world to Damien Hirst) . The gallery’s online offering is quickly becoming the most popular interactive (and free) gallery space on the Internet. The website is home to a large community of artists critiquing one another’s work, facing off for visitor votes and making contacts.

Their “Stuart” (aka “Student Art”) site is like social networking for young artists, not only allowing them to create personalized web pages, but also showcase their art and connect with other dealers, art-lovers, and like-minded folks.

The site is massive and while it’s a great place to peruse some amazing new art (maybe connect with a young artist and find something for that space above the fireplace), it also has the potential to undermine the world of art marketing. Fantastic.

For years, I was a throw-away chocolate girl. I’d buy any supermarket candy with a shiny wrapper. Much like our younger selves who could wear uncomfortable shoes or get away with $5 sunglasses, we could be happy with factory chocolate. But now I’ve seen the light, or rather, the dark. Dark chocolate that is.

After having quality choco goods thrusted on me by some Russian friends, I was hooked and hunting for more. I found this great article from Food & Wine magazine’s Pete Wells where he raves about Italian chocolate brand, Amedei. The man traveled from New York to Italy just to try this chocolate. I had to find some. After a few web searches and a heavy wallet hit (it’s about $12 for a small chocolate bar!), I scored. The order arrived today and I think I’m in heaven. I feel like someone who owns a Ford and just got to test drive a Ferrari. I don’t think I can go back to regular chocolate. Ever.

Note: Chocosphere may not be the fanciest online shopping site you’ve ever seen, but these guys know their chocolate.

At first I wondered why nail polish needed to be organic, but when I heard that most nail polish contains formaldehyde, the idea of organic nail color sounded pretty good. I mean I really don’t want to coat my nails with something they preserve dead frogs in, do you? Barielle’s latest color collection is as strong as anything you would get at a salon and comes in over 4o shades.

If preppy isn’t your game, you might like this cross backed cami. It is cool enough to wear on the hottest summer days, and stylish enough to wear with shorts or even a cute skirt. I like the nautical feel it evokes without looking too boaty. I would definitely wear it for a day of sailing, if I packed a lot of sun screen, but I also think it would be a great shirt for an afternoon of shopping or meeting a friend for an iced coffee.

Horizontal stripes aren’t for everyone. While it is is true that vertical stripes do tend to slim you, if you want to wear horizontal stripes but you are afraid they will make you look too wide, this tank is a great compromise. The trapeze cami comes in quite a few colors and looks good on everyone. It is fun and flirty and a perfect complement to the lazy hazy days of summer.

Today, they’re not only a hot collectible, but also a super cute and original tote. If you’re looking for a purse with a story, Enid Collins’ models are it. You can find many of these purses on eBay or other auction sites, but it’s important to check for imitations (that said, some “fakes” are made from DIY kits sold by the Collins’ company in the late 60s, so while they’re not 100% authentic, they’re halfway there).

If you do decide to pick up one of these hyper-adorable and collectible purses and you’re concerned about authenticity, check the signatures. Early bags will have a hand-painted signature on the bottom and are the most desirable. Older bags will show a stamped signature with the date.
