So, what pieces work with Boho Luxe? First of all, we have military jackets. Believe it or not, Michael Jackson can probably be credited for for popularizing these jackets way back in the day. They are toned down a little these days, but still just as fabulous.

You can wear your military with pants; you can even wear them with shorts. Dark denim looks best, though, because if you go with black slacks, the look gets a little costumey.

As far as accessories go, it is all about leather and suede. A great leather bag will take you a long way, and really, the bigger, the better — just go easy on the details and embellishments. Buckles, pockets, braided straps — these are cool, just don’t go overboard!

Okay so you like your designer jackets but don’t have a couple thousand to spend on one? Browns has a great sale section and I picked my favorite designer jackets for you! :)

Woopty doo!

1 – Antonio Berardi Leather fitted jacket
Brown leather fitted jacket. The collar and lapels lead into a button down front. Long sleeves. Pockets sit on either side of the hips just above the hemline.

2 – Junya Watanabe Check jacket with belt and twisted hemline
Black and white check jacket with belt and twisted hemline. Epaulettes sit on each shoulder. The collar leads into a double-breasted front. A thread through belt sits on the waist. Flap pocket sit on either side of the hips. Long sleeves. The twisted bubble hemline falls below the knee.

3 – Yves Saint Laurent Khaki safari jacket
Khaki safari jacket. The high collar leads into a lace up front that covers the zip fastening. Two breast pockets sit on either side, two more pockets sit on the hips. The hemline sits at the top of the thigh. Long sleeves with button fastenings and zip cuffs.

Rajesh Pratap Singh Fall/Winter 2008-2009

This Paris Catwalk Show by New Delhi-based fashion-prodigy Rajesh Pratap Singh is by far the most “western” collection he’s ever done. Lots of leather; lots of contrast and quite a distinct biker-look that works out a lot in the minimalist environment…

I’m not too sure about the long dresses, but the shorter ones and the jackets are beautiful, very chic! Another very versatile collection for Fall/Winter 2008-2009, which is already looking like an awesome fashion season!

Dolce & Gabbana on Sale!

Okay I’m not even going to try and add a long story to this blog entry. Seriously, Saks has a great sales page, but while browsing it I stumbled upon 3 pretty sick deals on Dolce & Gabbana gear, all over 35% off, and all EXTREMELY hot!

My favorite is by far the Wool Crepe Jacket, but the others are awesome too! Don’t hesitate, as they’ll fly off the e-shelves! :D

2. Pointy Toe Pump by Dolce&Gabbana — Was $600 down to under $360

Donna Karan Fashion Pre-Fall 2008

Donna Karan has never done a collection I completely disliked, and even though I haven’t been too stunned with most pre-fall collections this season, before seeing the pics I was sure this one wouldn’t be a complete disappointment either. Guess what? I was right! I picked five looks from the collection that I believe are winners, and I’ve got pics to show!

I like the wrap-style. Very feminine waist!
Extremely victorian skirt for DK’s habit. Still a gorgeous look, lovely jacket!
Love the skinnies! Another great jacket.
Nightgown-styled dress. Lovely detail.
My favorite. Fur, and pretty sweater. I LOVE IT!

The Donna Karan site is a beauty by the way, well worth checking out! Pics thanks to FWD!

Banana Republic Spring/Summer 2008

Pictures are from the Banana Republic S/S 08 show in NYC , and even though I’m anything but a true Banana Republic fan I think this collection beats their previous ones by a mile. Pretty safar-like prints, deep colours with loose khaki trousers to contrast them — and always pretty silhouettes focussed at bringing out the feminine touches.

Again — not a big fan, but convinced this is a good collection, based on the pics (thanks to Yahoo).

Jayson Brundson Spring/Summer 2008

This collection by Australian designer Jayson Brundson is stunning. All the designs are so feminine and beautiful, and nothing overdone, just beautiful fabrics, graphics, and designs. His label is inspired by the looks and lives of iconic women, and it really shows in his work. These dresses are absolutely beautiful, and again, they are so simple and elegant. I love that they arenâ€™t dripping with hardware and bombarded with frills and multi-colors. This simplicity is what I love to see on the catwalk, and Jayson has done a wonderful job, in my opinion, of capturing the essence of femininity.

Caroline Herrera Pre-Fall 2008

Hereâ€™s another sneak peek at a Pre-Fall collection. This one is from Caroline Herrera and it looks to be very promising. From the rich beautiful colors to the elegant cuts, this collection is great. I canâ€™t wait to see the entire collection. I especially love the gray trousers. The cut is fabulous. These are clothes that practically anyone can wear, any body shape and any size. I love it when the sneak peek pictures come out. It gives us just enough to keep us interested but not enough to spoil it when the whole collection is released. Oscar De La Renta Pre-Fall 2008

Okay, I just found these pictures of Oscarâ€™s Pre-Fall 2008 collection, and so far it looks very promising. I canâ€™t believe that itâ€™s already time for Pre-Fall, but Iâ€™m glad that we get a sneak peek of the upcoming fashions. The colors are beautiful, and Iâ€™m not all that surprised that red is a dominant color choice. Red in fall is pretty staple. Anyway, enjoy the pictures, they really do give you the essence of the Pre-Fall show. Iâ€™m still reeling from the Spring/Summer collection, and this one seems to be even better.
