Now that I have talked your ear off about red lips, let’s move onto another focal point on your face and that is long lashes.  We all know that very, very long lashes are always a huge, huge selling point but I can tell you for sure that this spring, long, plump lashes are going to be huge!

The only way to get those – besides of course using the very best mascara that will cake off in five minutes is by ‘permanent’ false lashes.  These lashes are actually attached right onto your upper eyelid and they are absolutely beautiful!

You can actually apply all sorts of mascara onto these type of lashes in addition to your lashes however they will not cake on.  These lashes look pretty cool and are HUGE in the West Coast!

The reason for creating Shutter Shades was simply the “sheer fun of it”. Todd Wilkerson made a pair for himself and when he wore the glasses, people went crazy wanting to know where they could get a pair. So he enlisted his brother and a couple friends and they went to work distributing the brand in California. Immediately, the “sheer fun of it” aspect metamorphosed into a growing “movement” with celebrities like Kanye West, Paris Hilton, and Snoop Dog snapping up these unique fashion accessories.

According to the company, “everything that Shutter Shades produces wears the Shutter Shades name boldly and everyone that embraces Shutter Shades becomes part of the worldwide Shutter Shades movement”. And the name is the exact description of the product. Shades with shutters, as in window shutters. Choose from the Classic glasses, Trons, American Flag Edition, Slants, and 2.0. The eyeglasses sport straight across shutters, slanted shutters, or half shutters, half glass.

There is a wide range of colors including red, pink, black, blue, white, yellow, purple, green, clear and glow-in-the-dark. The glasses are inexpensively priced at around twenty-five dollars US so making them part of your fashion statement will not break the bank. But I did try to find out what the Shutter Shades are made from but there does not seem to be any information regarding materials.

One of the American urbanite ultimates, Badgley Mischka, launched a new swimsuit line there yesterday. The design duo of Mark Badgley and James Mischka are all tucked in nicely with Mercedes Benz. Why? Well, they’re part of the “Mercedes Benz Presents” series, one that only recognizes designers who MB feels best represents the Mercedes brand. So, if you’ve always wanted a swimsuit that made people think of luxury cars, apparently this is it.

Gone are the days of wearing glasses that are so small you can peek over their frames. Sunglass fashion is reverting back to the styles of the 60’s and this season bigger really is better. I do want to give one word of warning concerning the big sunglasses trend. There is such thing as too much of a good thing. If you have a smaller face, you can still wear round glasses, just don’t choose a pair that is too big or they could overwhelm your features.

Remember, a girl can never have too many pairs of sunglasses. They are a rather inexpensive fashion accessory, so buy a pair in every color, try different tint shades to match your many moods, and of course have at least one pair of fabulous and expensive sunglasses like the Fendi Limited Edition B Buckled Sunglasses pictured above. I’m quite sure the same goes for the Fendi Shield Sunglasses I just spotted. Don’t they look great? Fendi accessories hardly ever reach a sub $200 price tag, but this one does! You can actually get these amazing sunglasses for close to $180. Not too shabby isn’t it?

I’m still in doubt though. I’ve seen Dior Strass Sunglasses on sale here in Antwerp. The price is about 30% higher then the Fendi’s, but they look so classy and timeles. Plus, I already have a nice pair of brown sunglasses, Dior’s black/white design might fit my wardrobe better….

Oh well, I guess I’ll spend some more time watching sunglasses online. Who knows I’ll end up buying Tom Ford’s ;-).
