Louis Vuitton designer Marc Jacobs capped off Paris fashion week with a surprising and delightfully naughty presentation of his Spring 2008 collection. The handbags, carried down the runway by models decked in sassy see-through plastic nurse outfits worn over candy-colored mini-dresses, were a refreshing contradiction to the subtle elegance usually identified with the luxe brand.
The […]

Everyone loves Gossip Girl. Even those who say they hate the show, actually watch it, albeit secretly. But it isn’t just the high-maintenance Upper East Side drama that’s sooo addictive. Most girls, myself included, tune in with habitual obsession every week to salivate over the fashion eyecandy.
Each of the female characters has her own […]

Here’s another summer update from Blog-Tique! As you know I’m very much looking forward to the weather warming up and me strolling around in my perfect summer dress with my lovely summer sandals carrying my awesome summer satchel bag filled with pretty bikinis and towels for the beach…
Anyway, we’ve covered the sandals and the dresses […]

I wish I was impressed by this pre-fall collection by Louis Vuitton — simply because I like Louis Vuitton. But — this collection doesn’t only look a little boring to me, the forms and the silhouettes just don’t work… I wonder what Marc was thinking…
I know it’s hip to bash Marc Jacobs — but I’m […]

To some, the idea of fingerless gloves/arm warmers might seem ridiculous. As in, what’s the point? Well, for starters, they’re super cute. They also make it very easy to operate a mobile phone, coffee cup, purse, or steering wheel. I may be stretching it a bit here, but seriously, they’re really cute. I’m thinking, for […]

Yes, they’re all styles we’ve seen come down the catwalks months ago, but it’s nice to see the fall ready-to-wear collections at a time of year where they’re actually starting to hit the shelves (I know, it’s still July, but I’m not the one with the marketing plan). It also got me excited for autumn […]

Vogue.com writes this in their bio on Marc Jacobs:
Born in New York City in 1963, Jacobs decided he wanted to become a designer while at grammar school. His sister taught him how to embroider his jeans and his grandmother, who he credits with being “the biggest influence in [his] life”, taught him how to knit. […]

Oh my goodness… I’ll start off with a self-explanatory photo to make sure everyone knows what I’m talking about. ;-)
Is that obvious enough? Right, these two pairs of shoes look alike. Does the price tag look alike too? Not quite: where the Marc Jacobs pair will cost you close to $400, the Linea Paolo pair […]

I’ve always liked Richard Chai. His work for Marc Jacobs was 100% to my liking, and last year’s Spring collection was one of my favorites. The 2006 spring collection featured female designs, leg-elongating pants, fitted moleskin coats and extremely sexy dresses which you’d love to wear out. Great stuff, seriously!
I checked out the Richard Chai’s […]
