Balenciaga bags are a classic favorite, perfectly-sized, versatile designs, and always stylish. The Giant City Bag is no exception. Seen toted by hollywood stars and international celebrities (like Nicole Richie, Vanessa Hudgens, supermodel Janice Dickinson, Nicky Hilton, Kylie Minoque, Nicole Kidman, Kackie Kennedy, Pauline de Rothschild, etc) Balenciagas are one of the most coveted handbags by fashionistas the world over.

Balenciaga’s newest release is the Giant Hobo. It stays true to Balenciaga’s quintessential timeless design, with its luxe leather, oversized hardware, and studded detail. The newer hobo-shape is slouchy, but still distinctively Balenciaga. The large size of this Giant Hobo makes it the perfect carryall; but it’s one carryall that’s stylish enough to transition beautifully from daywear to weekend wear. The style has been seen by celebrities toting it in neutral beige and deep jewel-tone green; but this Spring, Balenciaga released its Giant Hobo in pure winter white leather. I’m loving this gorgeous white B-Bag! Sure the gold hardware sounds a bit overmuch, but somehow Balenciaga pulls the look together beautifully.

Florals Rule SS 2008 Fashion

Florals are making a comeback this spring. The revival of summer prints has been showcased in many of the current season’s ready-to-wear collections.

Floral prints for Spring may seem a bit predictable, but if the collections of designers like Miuccia Prada, Stella McCartney, Elie Saab, Balenciaga, Dolce and Gabbana and Diane Von Furstenberg (to name a few,) are any indication, then the traditional floral trend has been reinvented to unconventionally contemporary effect.

Soft florals are, of course, a staple, but this season’s florals are also seen in oversized prints, and vibrant hues. These multi-colored and stylized blossoms are popping up in blouses, silk scarves, accessories (including shoes and handbags) but mostly in dresses. From long and flowy, smart and tailored, to short and flirty, floral dresses ruled the Spring 2008 runway. Romantic, feminine ruffles are given a new edge with artsy detail, abstract print, bold cuts and startling colors. Spring 2008 fashion is anything but dainty and subdued, instead it’s about looking fresh and passionate and confident and contemporary your florals.

Balenciaga Pre-Fall 2008

Balenciaga’s Pre-Fall 2008 looks are magnificent. Designer Nicolas GhesquiÃ¨re plays with fabrics as it’s clay, or so it seems. I love the way he adds volume into these shapes — he’s such a fashion-architect.

Still — I expected some more “VAZOOM” from the collection… but I man Nicolas GhesquiÃ¨re did what he was expected to do: make a solid Balenciaga fashion line (altough somewhat looking like the Spring/Summer 2008 images we’ve seen before).

Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2008 in Paris

Now this is what Iâ€™ve been waiting to see. This beautiful use of colors and fabrics. I was so excited when I saw this collection that I just jetted right over here to bring it to you. Balenciaga is a mastermind of fashion. The silky fabrics and bold colors are beautiful. And, I love the boots, be sure to check them out in the pictures. I especially love the golden satin pantsuit, it is absolutely gorgeous, and the knit skirt and top are adorable. Finally, a collection that is office wearable and still really sexy. Not that most arenâ€™t, itâ€™s just that it would be hard to wear some of the more revealing pieces to work and such. This one is perfect!
