St. Vincent is the solo effort of Annie Clark, a member of The Polyphonic Spree and ultra-talented multi-instrumentalist. The album is strange, ethereal and a sweet hybrid between relaxed lounge and the exhilaratingly energetic. 
The bulk of the album is backed by symphonic strings and orchestral touches, but particular tracks - like, What Me Worry invoke aural images of Henry Mancini and classic lounge. Meanwhile, Clark’s Oklahoma and Texan heritage shines through on parts of the album, making appearances on tracks like Human Racing.
Eclectic and with a subdued wildness, this album is the perfect soundtrack for making Sunday omelettes or an afternoon of patio lounging. Heels optional.
