Adjustable High Heel Shoes

adjustablehighheels-3.jpgThis design has apparently been around since 2004, when student Wei-Chieh Tu released it. I received a photo of the design in my mailbox at work from a co-worker today, and did some research on it to find out some more about it. Why? Even though this may look ugly and useless, it’s ideas like this that can make gigantic differences in the fashion world. Ideas that look completely stupid are sometimes the most revolutionary.

Wei-Chieh Tu describes his design as following:

“With the 0 degree ~ 38 degree adjustable shoes, users can wear high heels the whole day without suffering the pain they often bring. Considering function and fashion, these chic shoes provide a variety of height choices, appropriate for any occasion. By pushing the release button, users can adjust to high heels, mid heels or flats, anytime and anywhere they need.”

The way it’s looking now it won’t make any girl spend cash on it. And there’s a gigantic chance this design will never even be more than a design. But, it’s ideas like this that keep the spark in the fashion industry. Congratulations Wei-Chieh!
